One of ADHD Support’s core objectives is to help people get an assessment which will help them get a clinical diagnosis, and do it much faster than is currently possible through normal channels.

If you live in the UK or Ireland it can take between three to five years between your first visit with your GP to getting a proper diagnosis by a paediatrician, psychotherapist or psychiatrist.  What ADHD Support does to help speed that process along is put you in touch with an assessor who can go through your symptoms with you and confirm that you do indeed have ADHD, and once they have spoken to you they can help fast-track your appointment with a doctor who specialises in ADHD who can put your diagnosis in writing.

Once you have this diagnosis you’ll be able to get prescriptions if you want to use medication to control your symptoms, but not only that, you can use this diagnosis to access grants to help you find work, grants which your employer can use to fund reasonable adjustments to help you do your job, and even get funding to take up the courses that we offer here at ADHD Support.
